Cassava Growers & Processors Association produces and market crunchy, healthy and tasty cassava chips. The association was founded in June 9, 2014 and started at Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte with the 4H Club but due to certain circumstances, it was brought to Dapitan City. The local government of Dapitan, along with the growers and processors saw the potential of the cassava chips program and fully supported and trusted its potential despite the huge risks it entailed, which led to the success of the cassava chips in the market.
The Cassava Chips Program was formally launched last September 8, 2014 as one of the livelihood programs in Dapitan City. They are steadily finding their own niche in the market while creating benefits for its members and the society.
