ALDIO is a family owned artisan liqueur maker whose craft was passed on from their great-great grandfather, Victorio Perez Lara, a skilful artisan, a teacher, and a lambanog aficionado. Maestrong Torio as he is fondly called, lost his wife early, and committed his life to the service of the local Church from the late 1910s to the 1970s, starting with Italian missionary priests. Family story has it that he takes his morning barako coffee brew blended with lambanog, and alternately takes before and after meal lambanog infused either with kalamansi peel or with chico, as he developed fondness for his newfound skill in liqueur making.
