Philippine Rice Research Institute

Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) is a government-corporate entity created on November 5, 1985, through Executive Order 1061. It is under the Department of Agriculture and its main mission is to help grow high-yielding and cost-decreasing innovations so farmers can create enough rice for all Filipinos. PhilRice is able to achieve this through their effort in research and development. PhilRice Central Experiment Station received three management system certifications in 2006; : ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), which bring together the organization, procedures, processes and practices segments into one framework to help accomplish the organization’s purpose and mission.
